Rose Ayling-Ellis beams as she picks up another award following BBC Strictly Come Dancing success

Rose Ayling-Ellis had another reason to celebrate this week as she picked up an award.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner shared a video of her beaming in the back of a car after attending the Visionary Honours Awards.

The awards, launched in 2019 to celebrate and amplify diversity in the arts, tell underrepresented stories and advocate creators using their platforms for social change.

The bash on Tuesday night was hosted by Sir Lenny Henry and Rose was awarded the inspirational person of the year award.

The gong was presented to the 27-year-old by businessman and The Apprentice star Tim Campbell.

Sharing a video to her Instagram Story, Rose looked glam in an all-black outfit with a pop of blue eyeshadow on her eyes.

"Thank you so much @VisionaryArtsUK," the EastEnders star wrote alongside the clip which showed her picking up her award and flashing it at the camera with a huge smile.

It comes after Rose made history as the first deaf winner of BBC's Strictly.

Partnered with Giovanni Pernice, the pair won the hearts of viewers and stormed to victory in December's grand final after going head-to-head with Bake Off winner John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

As well as lifting the Glitterball, the dancing couple also picked up Heat magazine’s TV moment of the year late last year.

It was for their incredible - and emotional 'silent' couple's choice dance which saw them pause the music and dance in silence as a tribute to the deaf community.

Rose and Giovanni, 31, have since gone on to perform that exact routine for audiences across the country on the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour at the start of the year.

Rose is also an advocate for British Sign Language becoming a legally recognised language.
