Rosanna Davison to spend summer holidays with beloved grandmother after completing gruelling college course

Rosanna Davison told how she “suffered” studying for almost a decade, not making time for family and friends and this summer she’s planning a holiday in Wexford with her beloved nana.

The model turned nutritionist completed her Masters in nutrition from Middlesex University this March and told how her gruelling study regime left little time for her nearest and dearest.

Rosanna, 35, told the Irish Mirror: “Making time for seeing family and friends is so important, I’ve been through phases of my life when I’ve been writing books or studying, working day and night.

“I’ve spent 8 years of my life studying and I didn’t have time to see family and friends so you suffer to an extent from it.

“I think it’s so important to see people regularly, finding a balance and spending time with loved ones, there’s no point in working day and night if you aren’t going to see people.”

The stunner is swapping Mauritius for a staycation in the sunny South East to spend time with her 92–year-old grandmother Maeve.

The beauty said her nana is her best friend and when they aren’t together they communicate by e-mail.

She said: “One of our favourite things to do is to head down to Wexford because it really is the sunny South East.

“My grandmother lives down there so we’re going down to stay with her this year.

“Where she lives there’s a lovely sun terrace and it’s a bit of suntrap, we love staying with her.”

Maeve Davison is the mother of famous crooner Chris De Burgh and she and her grand-daughter, the former Miss World are inseparable.

She added: “Nana Maeve is my dad’s mom, she’s the best friend I’ll ever have.

“You wouldn’t believe it, she sends me emails all the time, Christmas cards and letters, she’s a little dote.”

The Dublin stunner has travelled the world yet believes Wexford is a hidden Irish gem.

She said: “Wexford is known for its stunning strands, we love to head towards Rosslare, the beaches are just incredible.

“The weather always seems to be better there than Dublin, it’s a great spot to go for a staycation in the summer."

“There are some cute little cafes with great food, where my nana lives.”

The Irish Mirror revealed last month that Former Fade Street star Emily MacKeogh was left devastated when her fiancé of two months Killian Roche died tragically in a hotel lobby in Dubai.

Rosanna, a close friend of the couple, said: “We are heartbroken for Emily, we’re just devastated for her, things like that you don’t recover for, I just hope she has the support around her.

“It’s the loss of your loved one but also the loss of your future plans for your life.”
