Rosanna Davison reveals how a family member's skin cancer scare made her wary of sun

Stunning Rosanna Davison has warned of the dangers of skin cancer after seeing a loved one experience a scare.

The model and nutritionist said it was one of the driving factors behind her decision to speak out about skin care.

“I haven’t had cancer scares myself personally but members of my family over the past 10 years have had precancerous lesions removed,” she told the Irish Mirror.

“To this day I do I wear Factor 50 every day of the year and that’s the winter as well as summer”.

The 35-year-old said she has always been “skin-conscious” and takes care to get her moles checked regularly and to ensure she doesn’t get burned.

Davison is also involved in creating vegan menus for luxury hotel chain Constance Hotels in Mauritius after they became interested in eco friendly plant based living.

She said: “It’s really amazing to see a greater wave of interest now in plant based living and veganism cruelty free organic lifestyle for our health as well as the environment”.

Despite having a huge social media presence and thousands of followers, Davison said she made the decision to take a step back from the sites last year.

She said: “I sort of trained myself away from not being on it as much and it carried over to this year as well”.

But the Dublin native said she finds she is now “more mindful” of the time she spends on line.

She added she was also conscious now of “trying to spend a little less time and more time reading and being present”.
