Rory McIlroy has announced wife Erica Stoll has given birth to their first child.
The golf superstar shared the new on social media as he confirmed Poppy Kennedy McIlroy was born on Monday.
He posted: "Poppy Kennedy McIlroy, born August 31st, 12:15pm. She is the absolute love of our lives. Mother and baby are doing great.
"Massive thank you to all the staff at Jupiter Medical Center and Dr Sasha Melendy for their amazing care."
The 31-year-old Northern Irishman, who was previously engaged to tennis star Caroline Wozniaki, met Stoll when she worked for the PGA of America back in 2015.
In December 2015, they got engaged whilst on holiday in Paris before marrying in a lavish ceremony at Ashford Castle in Cong, County Mayo in April 2017.
They have now welcomed their first child - just after completed playing in last week's BMW Championship where he spent the tournament anxiously awaiting a phone call.
He said: "I'm just waiting for a phone call.
"I was waiting for a phone call last week and it didn’t come, and then (McIlroy’s caddy) Harry (Diamond) has been keeping his phone in his pocket just to make sure, but nothing as of yet.
"I’m going to play in many more Tour Championships, and it’s only going to be the birth of your first child once. That trumps anything else."
