Rooting for the Carolina Hurricanes to win is rooting for fun in sports

With the Carolina Hurricanes one win away from heading to the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2019 NHL playoffs, there’s a good reason to root for them: Fun.

This is the team that put together post-win celebrations like the limbo, games of Duck Duck Goose and more in what the team called the “Storm Surge.” Although players stopped doing them closer to the posteason, the practice irked CBC commentator Don Cherry, who called the players “jerks.”
