Sydney Roosters second-rower Aliyah Nasio has been ordered to front the NRLW judiciary for throwing a punch in the post-grand final brawl.
Nasio was on Monday charged with striking in the post-match fight, accused of landing a punch on Brisbane centre Julia Robinson after the siren.
It came as players from both teams became involved in the brawl, before eventually separating and allowing the Broncos to celebrate their first title since 2020.
ARL Commission chairman Peter V'landys on Monday declared he had "no concerns whatsoever" over the fight, stating: "I love passion."
But the match review committee took the opposite view, with Nasio now facing a ban that threatens to rub her out of the start of next season.
The committee cleared all other players involved in the melee, despite replays appearing to show a flurry of arms and potential punches.
Broncos coach Scott Prince was critical of the incident, which came after Broncos captain Ali Brigginshaw was hit high by Nasio on the previous set.
"Obviously we'll have a conversation with the people we need to chat with," Prince said following Sunday's 22-18 win.
"It's not ideal from our point of view. There's no place in the game for that. I'm sure the NRL will take care of it."
