Rooney defends Solskjaer

It’s easy to blame Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the predicament Manchester United find themselves in.

He’s the man in charge who selects the team and implements the game plan.

But former United striker Wayne Rooney believes that the players on the pitch need to step up and take responsibility for the role they have played in not only the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool but the failure to win any of their last four Premier League games.

The XI that should face Spurs

Solskjaer has been given at least Saturday’s fixture against Tottenham Hotspur to turn the club’s fortunes around.

The Norwegian, against Liverpool, opted for the same starting line-up which were 2-0 down against Atalanta in the Champions League days before.

Though they turned it around to win 3-2, many were left dumb-founded at the decision to go with the same group of players.

Against Spurs, Solskjaer must make some changes and the MEN have had a go at their preferred starting XI.
