Room To Improve viewers saying same thing about budget after Sunday's episode on RTE One

Room To Improve continues to have viewers across Ireland glued to their screens on Sunday night.

The popular reality property series is three episodes into its new season on RTE One.

The latest installment saw the nation's favourite architect Dermot Bannon renovate a detached 1950s two-bedroom house in Dublin.

Host Bannon gave a make-over to Yvonne and Adrian's Rathfarnham home - which they bought for €580,000.

The couple initially had a budget of €280,000 and not a "cent more".

But after Dermot, unsurprisingly, went over it - by €110,000, viewers hit out at the TV presenter for almost always exceeding the budget on the programme.

Many fans of the much-loved show took to Twitter, with some joking about whether the celebrity architect was involved in the building of the new National Children's Hospital - which has an estimated overspend of over €1billion.

One user quipped: "I was just wondering if Dermot Bannon is involved in the building of the new Children’s Hospital?"

Another said: "Having watched Room To Improve I think we can safely guess that Adrian's mystery job was clearly budgeting for the new Children's Hospital."

A third said: "Is Dermot responsible for the cost of the Children’s Hospital by any chance?"

A fourth joked: "Next week, Dermot is tasked with building a Children’s Hospital for the entire Nation in a tight drab area of the Capital.

"Will he stay within budget? Tune in 9:30 next Sunday to find out."

A fifth said: "This budget is heading the same way as the National Children's Hospital"

Another added: "Jaysus. The budget!! It's a house in Rathfarnham, not a Children's Hospital!"

Regardless of the cost, he delivered once again to the delight of Yvonne and Adrian. Here is the house, before and after:
