Rookie RB Josh Jacobs sets another record for Raiders

It seems like every week, rookie running back Josh Jacobs is setting a new record with the Oakland Raiders. This week, he set a new rookie record for the Raiders, rushing for the most yards ever (295) through four games. He surpassed another first-round pick in Darren McFadden from the 2008 season

After seeing just 10 touches in Week 3, the Raiders were determined to get the ball to Jacobs more often against the Colts. Jacobs finished the game with 19 touches for 108 total yards. He was dynamic, making plays in both phases of the game. He is a perfect fit in this Raiders’ offense as he can continuously make plays after initial contact.

Over the next 12 weeks, expect Oakland to continue to rely on their rookie runner. Jacobs has proven he can carry the load and be effective at the same time. Jacobs has to be on the short-list of players to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award this season.
