Roofe and Morelos up top – the Rangers team fans want Steven Gerrard to go with v Hibs

Rangers fans want to see Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe join forces in attack for today's match against Hibs.

Steven Gerrard takes his side to Easter Road knowing a victory would see them leapfrog Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership. Rangers have been in excellent form this season, and are yet to concede a league goal, however today's match should be among their toughest challenges yet.

We at Glasgow Live asked fans what team they wanted to see the Ibrox boss go with, and they went bold.

Supporters want to see Jon McLaughlin continue in form after a flawless start to his Rangers career with a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Borna Barisic in front of him. Balogun has been injured in recent weeks but fans were clearly impressed with his showings in the early part of the campaign.

A midfield three of Glen Kamara, Steven Davis and Ianis Hagi were favoured, with a trio of Kemar Roofe, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos spearheading the attack.

The results came from an article we published on Glasgow Live last night in which we asked fans to choose their preferred starting XI and formation. You can check it out here.
