Ronnie Wood's second wife, Jo Wood, has revealed that the star is recovering well after battling with cancer for a second time.
The Rolling Stones star, 74, had secretly battled small cell cancer during the first lockdown but has since been given the all-clear again.
It came three years after he received the all-clear from lung cancer.
Now Jo, 66, has revealed she is "proud" of how the guitarist dealt with the news and said she believes doctors caught the diagnosis early.
She described that doctors knew his family history of cancer so were able to check before it spread.
Speaking to The Sun, Jo said: "It was very worrying, especially for the kids. But he’s much better. He’s going to be fine."
The comments come weeks after Ronnie's current wife, Sally, gushed over her "amazing, positive" husband.
The 43-year-old, who married the star in 2012, told Hello magazine: "Ronnie's an amazing person with incredible strength and determination. He reads his meditation books and we focused on his treatment, his sobriety and resting as much as possible."
Ronnie and second wife Jo have remained close since separating in 2009 after 26 years of marriage. They share three children; Jo's adopted son Jamie, 46, Leah, 45, and Tyrone, 37.
Ronnie also has one child from his first marriage with Krissy Finlay; Jesse 44.
And Jo has described that all the family, including their grandchildren, have a good relationship.
However, his newest relationship hasn't caused any problems with his connection with Jo, who says she gets on well with Sally and the couple's four-year-old twins Alice and Gracie.
Speaking of his first fight with cancer, Ronnie said he blamed his 54 years of smoking. He had part of his lung removed in 2018 and was given a clean bill of health.
However, last year meant he had to fight the disease again. After his battle, he told The Sun: "Throughout my recovery, you have to let it go. What will be will be, it's nothing to do with me.
"All I can do is stay positive in my attitude, be strong and fight it, and the rest is up to my higher power."
