When the Baltimore Ravens took the practice field on Monday, there was a familiar face out there with them for the first time since suffering a gruesome ankle injury in the middle of the 2020 season. That player was offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley, who means so much to Baltimore’s offense as a whole.
Stanley didn’t do much on the practice field, but head coach John Harbaugh said he’s on schedule. The offensive lineman’s return was a positive development, but the offense had an up and down day as a whole.
Not sharp practice for offense. Josh Oliver did have good day with two red zone TDs and few other catches. Mark Andrew’s typically active. But QBs were off and a lot of balls were hitting ground.

Lamar looked off early on, but started throwing some DARTS to Mark Andrews & company. Andrews had a honey hole one handed highlight reel grab between a few defenders at one point.

By my count, Lamar Jackson was 18-of-23 (78%) on 7-on-7 and team drills (not including spikes). He was much sharper in his second practice.
Jackson hit Mark Andrews twice deep down the middle of the field. That connection remains strong.

Good day for tight end Josh Oliver. He elevated over Anthony Averett to snag a touchdown in 7-on-7 red zone drills and had another grab in tight traffic.

During a simulated two-minute period with a live clock, Jackson moved the Ravens down the field, but near the end zone threw incomplete low to Mark Andrews and then behind Sammy Watkins in the end zone as time expired.

Justin Houston's bull rush on Adrian Ealy made me LOL. Has such a neutral track on his rushes that allows him to have a three way go. Really tough to defend.
Tylan Wallace had a few nice snags near the sideline, one on a McSorley boot.

Players like wide receiver Tylan Wallace, tight end Josh Oliver, and safety Ar’Darius Washington stepped up, which is a good sign as the preseason draws closer. If that trio (and others who are fighting for playing time or a roster spot) can continue to stack good practices together, it will go a long way in showing the coaching staff that they deserve to be a part of the team in 2021.
