Ronan O'Gara is reportedly set for a return to Europe and the Top 14 with La Rochelle, French publication L'Equipe reports.
The 42-year-old Ireland and Munster legend is expected to join the French outfit to replace backs coach Xavier Garbajosa, who left the club today.
But still a coach with Crusaders in New Zealand, O'Gara would not be expected to leave his role until the Super Rugby season ends on July 6.
O'Gara has coached in France in the past, working as assistant coach with Racing 92 between 2013 and 2018 before making the move to New Zealand.
Former Ulster coach Jono Gibbes, now La Rochelle's Director of Rugby, said there will be no comment on the club's coaching staff until the end of the season - with O'Gara set to join on a three-year deal.
