Ronan Keating has announced an intimate Dublin show to celebrate two decades of solo success.
The ‘Life is a Rollercoaster’ hitmaker will play in Vicar Street on June 6 to mark 20 years of success and in support of his new album.
One of the best-loved singers of our generation, Ronan Keating, also unveils details about his new album that encapsulates his many musical achievements since the millennium.
Entitled ‘Twenty Twenty’, and set for release on Decca Records on May 1, Ronan describes his new record as “a greatest hits of brand new music”.
To help him celebrate, Keating made two inspired choices: to dive into his back catalogue and revisit three of his biggest hits and, for some of the new tracks, call in some friends.
The first single, ‘One Of A Kind’ sees Ronan duet with Emeli Sandé.
Speaking to Jennifer Zamperelli on 2FM yesterday [Thurs], he said: “Boyzone was a huge chapter in my life, but I’m actually solo much longer than I was in the band.
“Hard to believe. There won’t be loads of new songs [on the new tour].
“No one wants to come and hear all new stuff, it’s pretty boring, it’s a bit self indulgent.
And speaking of the impending birth of his second child with wife Storm, he said: “Cooper very excited to meet his new brother or sister, he doesn’t know yet.
“I can’t wait for him, as much as for us.
“We’ll have to spoil him a bit so his nose isn’t too out of joint.”
Ronan has three other kids with ex-wife Yvonne Connolly; Jack, 20, Missy, 18 and Ali, 14.
