Ronan Keating calls out UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson over 'unforgivable' decision

Ronan Keating called out UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson for a "socially distant" chat over an "unforgivable" government decision.

The Boyzone singer said he wanted to address reports that the Conservative government had rejected an offer to allow musicians to tour in Europe without needing a visa as part of the recently agreed Brexit deal.

He wrote on Twitter: "Ok Boris Johnson I think it’s time we had a chat. I can’t come to yours nor can you come to mine.

"But can we meet in a park socially distant and discuss how this government is effecting UK musicians and the arts."

The 43-year-old shared a video with his 500,000 followers showing Johnson avoiding a question on whether he had rejected a proposal for visa-free tours by musicians.

Ronan added: "It’s unbelievable and unforgivable. Will we see most of the UK artists/musicians leave the UK and live in the EU. Protect the arts in the UK please this current government clearly doesn’t care."

However the unexpected call-out caused a stir on social media, with some comparing the tweet to Brian McFadden's infamous social media post where he threatened to "fight" ISIS "man to man".

While one user joked: "You say it best when you say nothing at all."
