Brazilian legend Ronaldo has named Lionel Messi as the greatest player in the world, but surprisingly snubbed his namesake Cristiano.
The former Inter and Real Madrid striker was tasked with naming his top five players of the modern game.
And while the inclusion of Messi was no surprise, he could not find a place for Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, the Argentine's long-time rival.
Ronaldo told AS: "Messi, of course, he is number one, it is a talent that we will take 20 or 30 years to see something similar.
"I also like (Mohamed) Salah, (Eden) Hazard, Neymar, that I love watching him play, of course (Kylian) Mbappe."
Ronaldo was seen by many as the greatest player of his generation, scoring 414 goals in just 616 games.
His career was badly hampered by two serious knee injuries during his time at Inter, but the Brazilian nonetheless became the World Cup's all-time top goalscorer before his record was broken by Miroslav Klose.
It's perhaps surprising though that he failed to acknowledge another great goalscorer, Cristiano Ronaldo, in his top five.
The Juventus man has been a long-time rival to Messi for the title of world's greatest player.
Both have scored over 700 career goals and since 2007 only Luka Modric has broken their duopoly on the Ballon d'Or.
