Ronaldo goes old school as he rocks a retro iPod Shuffle in 2020

Cristiano Ronaldo was proudly rocking a retro iPod Shuffle as he arrived for his first game of 2020.

The former Manchester United star arrived for Juventus' clash with Cagliari wearing the Apple product as he stepped off the team bus.

Ronaldo accessorised his smart navy suit with a coordinating blue Shuffle, and it obviously worked for him because the Juventus forward went on to score a hat-trick and his team won 4-0.

While many were hoping for a pair of Apple AirPods under the tree this Christmas, the Portuguese footballer looked delighted to embrace the old school with the five-button product that was launched in 2005 and discontinued in 2017.

The sight of the Reds legend wearing the clip-on device in Turin, Italy, prompted much excitement on Twitter.

"IT’S 2020 AND CRISTIANO RONALDO IS WEARING A CLIP-ON IPOD SHUFFLE," yelled one Tweeter.

"I still use an iPod and I love it," commented another.

"Respect Ronaldo more now that I know he still uses an iPod shuffle mini," tweeted another.

And another fan wrote: "The thought of Cristiano Ronaldo sat at an old desktop PC, syncing his iPod Shuffle up with his latest, carefully curated iTunes playlist is just fantastic."

There are now calls from fans to bring the Shuffle back thanks to the 34-year-old footballing ace.

"I can finally get my iPod shuffle out again. Thank you Ronaldo," said one with a celebrating emoji.

"Ronaldo dropping a hattrick after using an iPod shuffle? I'm on eBay now," said another.
