Ronaldo advises Real Madrid to pursue Kylian Mbappe transfer over Neymar

Brazilian legend Ronaldo thinks his former side Real Madrid would be better off signing Kylian Mbappe than former Barcelona forward Neymar if they are looking to invest in the future.

The two PSG stars will aim to fire their side to Champions League glory when they take on Bayern Munich in the final in Lisbon on Sunday night.

Both players have been linked with moves to La Liga in the past, and the rumour mill is likely to be in full swing again this summer.

And speaking in a webinar hosted by Santander, Ronaldo urged Madrid to target Mbappe above Neymar.

"Right now, it is not that one is better than another, but if Real Madrid had to make a big investment, they should do so thinking about the future," he said.

"Neymar is 28 years old and Mbappe is 22. As an investment, it would be more logical to bring the younger [of the two]."

Neymar, who shone in Spain during his four seasons at the Nou Camp, will be looking to win his second Champions League winners medal following his success for Barcelona in 2015.

And Ronaldo added on his fellow Brazilian: "He needs to win the Champions League to complete his season.

"He has played very well in the last few games, especially in this final phase in Portugal.

"He has created many scoring chances, but he has lacked calmness to finish off moves. With luck and calmness, he can find himself scoring in the final."

PSG will be slight underdogs for the clash against Bayern, but will still fancy their chances of winning the competition for the first time in their history.

However, they go up against a Bayern side who have not lost in eight months and who scored a stunning total of 11 goals in their quarter-final win against Barcelona and semi-final triumph over Lyon.
