Ronaldinho explains how Manchester United can beat Barcelona in Champions League

Manchester United will have to do the unthinkable again if they are to progress to the next round of the Champions League but one Barcelona legend believes it's possible.

The Red Devils had to pull off a remarkable victory in the last 16 to even face Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

Manchester United trailed 2-0 ahead of a last 16 second leg at Paris Saint-Germain last month, only to win 3-1 in France

Now after losing the first leg of the quarters at Old Trafford last week 1-0 to Barcelona, United need to beat the Spanish giants to have any hope of progressing to the semi-finals, with a victory and at least two goals scored guaranteeing progression to the final four.

It might seem impossible but that has not stopped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men before.

In fact, Barcelona legend Ronaldinho believes there is a slim chance of United succeeding and has spelled out how they should go about derailing the La Liga leaders.

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has Manchester United warning

“The truth is that Barcelona should have finished the game in Manchester - but at just 1-0 Manchester United will still believe that they are in this tie," said Ronaldinho, who won the Champions League and two La Liga titles with Barcelona.

“With the way that Barcelona have been playing and the amount of goals they have been scoring, I do expect them to progress," he told the Mirror.

Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson makes Liverpool FC title 'prediction'

“I see them even winning comfortably in Barcelona. It will all be on the first goal.

“If Barcelona score it then it will be a long evening for Manchester United.

“But if they (United) can score the first goal then it's going to make the stadium nervous - and you never know what can happen then.”
