Ronald Koeman faces Barcelona dressing room revolt for ditching club's sacred tradition

Tuesday night's bruising 3-0 defeat to Juventus has sparked a grim postmortem for Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman.

His insipid side were outmuscled by the Serie A champions on their own patch to turn the spotlight firmly on the Dutch boss.

What's more galling is this was a Juve side not without their own issues this season, having already drawn five of their opening 10 leagues.

But, thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo 's two penalties and a strike from Weston McKennie, they left the Nou Camp as Champions League Group G winners.

Barcelona have still progressed with 15 points from a section that included Dynamo Kiev and Ferencvaros but there's been little backslapping over that particular achievement.

Rumblings in the Spanish press suggest all is not well in the dressing room.

Antoine Griezmann lambasted his team-mates post-match and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen worryingly admitted: "Teams can score against us in any moment".

According to mdzol.com, discontent festers over Koeman's imposition of a 4-2-3-1 system which is producing some rather uninspiring football.

Even before you analyse it in detail, a switch away from the club's sacred 4-3-3 - taught from the very youngest age at La Masia - is always risky.

It's said the players feel Koeman's system imbalances the side in a way that leaves them impotent in attack and vulnerable in defence.

The very worst of both worlds.

Barcelona currently sit 9th in La Liga having lost four of their opening 10 fixtures and last night's humbling from Ronaldo and Co. has piled further pressure on the manager.
