Ronald Koeman 'accuses Riqui Puig of leaking information' in furious dressing room rant

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman tore into youngster Riqui Puig in an explosive dressing room rant over reports he had leaked information out of the club.

Koeman is overseeing a club in crisis mode at the moment, with Barca going into Sunday’s game against Levante sat in 10th spot in the La Liga table.

The dressing room is in chaos after the terrible start to the season, coupled with the doubts over Lionel Messi’s future.

The Argentine is likely to leave at the end of the season on a free, with a move to Manchester City most likely.

Barca also currently have no leadership in place, with Josep Bartomeu and the rest of the board having stepped down earlier in the season.

And things were made worse for Koeman earlier in the season when he accused Puig of leaking information, it has been claimed.

Koeman apparently made the decision shortly after taking over that Puig would be one of the players allowed to leave the club.

Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic, Nelson Semedo, Arthur and Arturo Vidal were all allowed to leave, and apparently Koeman was ready to let Puig go as well.

That information was then published in various Spanish outlets, with Koeman blaming the player himself for the information becoming known.

According to Spansih outlet El Pais, he tore into Puig during one of his half-time team talks this season, telling him: “You’re a leak!”

The La Masia product ended up staying at Barcelona, but has been unable to win over Koeman.

He’s played a grand total of three minutes in La Liga, having found himself behind Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Sergio Busquets.

Puig has three Champions League appearances under his belt this season, but still seems to have a long way to go before he becomes a regular starter.
