Ron Rivera says there’s no timetable for Cam Newton to throw again

The Panthers just wrapped up the second day of their 2019 offseason team activities. The main question on everybody’s mind is naturally how healthy the starting quarterback is.

Cam Newton did not throw either today or Tuesday and coach Ron Rivera says there’s no timetable for him to start up again. On the bright side, he says he’s optimistic he could be ready for training camp.

Newton wasn’t the only Carolina quarterback sidelined at practice.

Taylor Heinicke is also recovering from a surgery of his own, but some observers thought he still looked better than Will Grier and Kyle Allen.

Yikes.
