Ron Gordon reveals he has snubbed offers to sell his Hibs stake as he delivers 'no regrets' message

Hibs owner Ron Gordon has revealed he has knocked back offers from investors wanting to buy his shares in the club.

The American remains committed to the Easter Road side despite the Covid-19 crisis resulting in Hibs hemorrhaging a seven-figure loss.

He insists he has no regrets over taking over the club last summer and has plans on leaving a positive legacy.

When asked about the interest, Gordon said: "People do come, but no.

"Do I regret making this investment? Absolutely not. Has it been difficult from a business perspective? Absolutely. But from every other perspective it's been absolutely rewarding.

"I want to be part of Hibernian for a long time club and I want to make a difference at the club."

Scottish football has been hit this week with the hammer blow of fans being blocked from returning to games.

But Gordon says there is cash to cover further losses and insisted he is "excited" by Jack Ross ’ team, who sit third in the Scottish Premiership.

He added: "The team is very balanced, playing very well, with a lot of conviction, a lot of belief. It's good, it's great. We're very fortunate to have Jack, he's a terrific manager.

"I'm excited. We're operating in a leaner budget and getting better results, which is a good thing."
