Ron Goldman's sister upset over what's not in O.J. Simpson miniseries

Feb. 04--Kim Goldman, whose brother Ron Goldman was found stabbed to death with Nicole Brown Simpson, said she had been preparing herself for the debut of the "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" miniseries on FX.

When Goldman watched the premiere episode Tuesday, she didn't like what she saw.

"What I think is unfortunately going to get lost in this is that my brother was doing a good deed. (He) walked in on what we believe was a horrific crime and he didn't run," Goldman told the "Today" show in a segment that aired Wednesday.

"They don't show that in this and that really sucks. My brother could've run and saved his own life. And he stayed to help his friend (Nicole). I want people to remember my brother was a hero."

The FX series began by showing a neighbor finding the bodies of Brown and Goldman, who grew up in Buffalo Grove. That was the only portrayal of Goldman, a waiter who was 25 at the time of his June 1994 death, in Tuesday's episode. Nine more episodes are scheduled to air.

Goldman was reportedly returning a pair of forgotten glasses to Brown at her home when he was killed. O.J. Simpson, Brown's ex-husband, was acquitted in the killings but found liable in civil lawsuits brought by the Brown and Goldman families.

Kim Goldman went on to write multiple books about her brother's death, including "Can't Forgive: My 20-Year Battle with O.J. Simpson."

"I'm forced now to have to endure (Ron's death) week after week," she told the "Today" show about the miniseries, which stars Cuba Gooding Jr. as Simpson and airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
