Romero, Ndombele and Son all return after rest - The Tottenham team Nuno should pick vs West Ham

It's a quick turnaround once again for Tottenham as they return to Premier League action on Sunday against West Ham United.

Playing in Europe on Thursday evening as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Vitesse Arnhem in the Netherlands, the Hammers were also in the same boat as they beat Genk 3-0 at home.

Although the Lilywhites were on the losing side in the Europa Conference League, they are building some momentum in the Premier League after registering two wins on the trot.

Nuno Espirito Santo chose to leave the 11 players who featured in the win at Newcastle at home in midweek and they are all expected to return to the side at the London Stadium.

So who should the boss pick for the game across the capital? Our Tottenham reporters Rob Guest and Emma de Duve have named their teams below.

Nuno Espirito Santo has a very simple decision on his hands when it comes to his Tottenham team to face West Ham.

Deciding to leave the 11 players who started at Newcastle United back in the capital to prepare for the London derby, all will return to the team this weekend.

The head coach did hand out opportunities to those on the periphery of the first team against Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League but very few seized their chance with both hands.

Davinson Sanchez, Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga were three to come out of the game with any real credit but it's still probably not enough to force Espirito Santo to make alterations in terms of his defence.

Players such as Steven Bergwijn, Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli and Bryan Gil will be options from the bench if needed at the London Stadium.

The line-up for Sunday pretty much picks itself after the 11 players were left in north London whilst the rest of the squad travelled to Holland on Thursday.

After the defeat to Vitesse, the match against West Ham is even more of a must-win game for Nuno, to prove that his risk to leave his strongest players behind does pay off.

Assuming the line-up is as expected, it will be the same team that started against both Aston Villa and Newcastle, which both produced some good spells of football and showed that a 4-2-3-1 formation seems to work best for Spurs.

It will be good for the back four to get more game time together to try and create a strong and more importantly consistent defence for the rest of their team. With improvements seen from both Ndombele and Kane, they will also both hopefully have another better performance.

After last season's 3-0 lead that ended in a 3-3 draw against West Ham, Tottenham need to ensure that if they do concede then they are prepared for a quick response in an important game they need three points from.
