Romeo Beckham ditches US career as he and girlfriend found long-distance 'difficult'

Romeo Beckham has quit Miami - after rekindling his romance with girlfriend Mia Regan.

The aspiring footballer has turned his back on dad David’s club Inter Miami CF II to become a permanent fixture with West London side Brentford B – where he’s been on loan since January.

The move comes after his stint with the US team saw his relationship with Brit model Mia hit the rocks.

A source tells us: “While Romeo was off playing for Inter Miami, he and Mia both found the long-distance relationship difficult.

“Despite their best efforts, it really took its toll and they split up for a while. But when he returned to the UK on loan to Brentford they rekindled things, and things are going really well. So when Romeo got the offer to stay at Brentford he was thrilled.

“They will be able to spend much more time together and it’s a great career opportunity for him. They are both very career-focused so Mia understands how much it means to him.”

Earlier this month, mum Victoria posted a series of holiday snaps with the whole family – including a shot of Romeo cosying up to a grinning Mia.

Another photo showed the former Spice Girl posing with her second eldest, captioned: “We laughed a lot.”

Midfielder Romeo began dating Mia in 2019, two years before he joined Fort Lauderdale CF – later renamed Inter Miami CF II – in 2021.

Romeo was first spotted training with Brentford last year before joining them in January on a six-month loan – and now it seems he has made his decision to let love lead the way.

The source adds: “There are just a couple of financial aspects to be ironed out, but the deal is almost done.”

So, lots more scoring on the cards for Romeo, then…
