Romelu Lukaku shows Man Utd what they're missing as Inter Milan reach Europa League final

Romelu Lukaku scored in his tenth consecutive Europa League game as his brace helped Inter Milan thrash Shakhtar Donetsk 5-0 and set up a final against Sevilla.

Inter were totally dominant throughout against their Ukrainian opponents, and Argentinean forward Lautaro Martinez got their first with a powerful header after 19 minutes.

It was effectively game over when Danilo D'Ambrosio added another after half-time, and Martinez grabbed his second just ten minutes later to truly kill the match.

Lukaku rubbed salt into the wounds as he first fired into the far corner to make it 4-0 and then beat a defender and coolly slotted past the goalkeeper to notch a brilliant individual effort and round off the scoring.

Should Man Utd have kept Romelu Lukaku? Have your say below

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a superb first season at Inter, with a total of 33 games in all competitions, and is clearly relishing being the main man at the San Siro.

Manchester United fans may well be wondering why they ever let him go, especially given their wastefulness in front of goal during their semi-final defeat to Sevilla on Sunday.

The final will take place in Cologne on Friday, with Inter considered the slight favourites given their fearsome options going forward.

Former Premier League players Ashley Young, Victor Moses and Christian Eriksen were also involved in the thrashing against Shakhtar, and it remains to be seen if they make the starting line-up for the final.

Manager Antonio Conte will be looking to win his first piece of silverware at Inter, and his first ever European trophy as a coach.

Following the conclusion of the Europa League, the Champions League final will take place on Sunday.

RB Leipzig take on PSG in the first semi-final on Tuesday, before Lyon face Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
