Romelu Lukaku sends three-word message after what happened with Mason Mount in Chelsea training

With the international break coming to an end, Thomas Tuchel and his coaching staff will be excited to welcome the rest of the Chelsea cohort back to Cobham ahead of Saturday’s clash with Aston Villa.

The match at Stamford Bridge starts a run of seven matches across three competitions in just a 21-day period for the Blues, in what will question the club’s squad depth.

Romelu Lukaku and Mason Mount are amongst the players expected to re-join Chelsea teammates following the conclusion of the international break.

The pair have been on duty for Belgium and England respectively over the past week, but both will be available to play in the Premier League on the weekend, providing Lukaku comes through his scan without an issue and Mount doesn't pick up an injury in the final World Cup qualifier against Poland.

Judging by a video posted on Chelsea’s official website, Lukaku and Mount will be as equally excited to get back on the training pitch together.

The video showed the two competing during a shooting drill – an exercise that ended up with Mount being the victor following a lovely, curled finish with his right foot into the bottom corner.

Lukaku can be seen jokingly warning Mount that “tomorrow is another day,” whilst Mount basks in celebration, as he attempts to wind Lukaku up for losing the battle between the two.

In response to the video, Lukaku sent a message to Mount on Twitter that read: “It gets competitive!”

The three-word statement was followed up with a laughing emoji and a blue heart, signalling that it’s all just a bit of fun for the betterment of the team.

Chelsea have got off to a great start this season after taking 7 points from a possible 9 in their opening three league games, dropping just two points, when down to 10 men for more than 45 minutes at Anfield in late August.

And their competitive nature on the training pitch is only likely to improve their on-the-pitch output, too, which is undoubtedly a positive thing for Chelsea fans.
