Romelu Lukaku reveals his big change since leaving Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku says he has matured in Italy following his exit from Manchester United last summer.

Lukaku completed a £73.7million move to Inter Milan last September having scored 42 goals in two seasons during his spell at Old Trafford.

The Belgian forward hit the ground running under Jose Mourinho but did not feel 'valued' once Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at United.

Lukaku informed United he wanted to leave the club last spring when it became apparent he no longer had the same role to play under Solskjaer, however it took until August before he was allowed to leave.

The 26-year-old has netted 17 goals in 25 games for Inter Milan this season, and he believes his rejuvenated form is down to his added maturity.

Speaking on an Instagram Live with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, the former United forward explained the biggest change in his approach.

"When you mature, it's not only about yourself anymore," Lukaku said.

"Scoring is my drug, that's what I live on. But the older you get, you have to use your intelligence, I am a student of the game.

"I think if I want to help my team, I have to be capable to give assists.

"It cannot just be me [scoring], it has to be the guy next to you. Everyone has to feel important.

"If I cannot shoot myself, I will always look for the last pass."
