Romelu Lukaku names Manchester United's best young player

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has highlighted who he thinks is the best young player at Manchester United.

Lukaku left Old Trafford last summer, Inter paying a club-record £73million for his services, after a frustrating final season in England which saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prefer Marcus Rashford over the Belgian.

The level of competition up front was fierce at United, and Lukaku says Mason Greenwood is Solskjaer's brightest young star.

When asked on Twitter who United's best young talent was, Lukaku replied: "Greenwood, that boy is cold!"

It wasn't just Greenwood who caught Lukaku's eye, as the striker was then asked about Chelsea, and had similar praise for Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount.

Lukaku ended an eight-year spell in England when moving to Italy last August, having also enjoyed prolific spells with both West Brom and Everton after Chelsea initially brought him to England from Anderlecht in 2011.

When asked by an Everton fan on Twitter if he will ever play in the Premier League again, Lukaku replied: "I don’t think so but I loved my time at Everton, for real."

When pressed by another fan on his time at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, Lukaku added: "Both experiences were good. People can say it was [bad] for me [but] it was good.

"One club gave me an opportunity to come to England and learn from my idols. The other came at the right time for me to make a step up and play in the Champions League."
