Romelu Lukaku names his 5-a-side team - and only includes two Man Utd stars

Romelu Lukaku might only be 25 but he has managed to play alongside some of modern football's greatest stars.

Striker Lukaku has played for Anderlecht, Chelsea , West Brom, Everton , Manchester United and his homeland of Belgium.

And in an interview with ManUtd.com, Lukaku named a 5-a-side team of the best players he has shared a pitch with.

In goal, Lukaku has stuck with his current shot stopper at United David De Gea.

The Spaniard is regarded as the best keeper in the world so the decision to put him between the sticks on the 5-a-side pitch is an automatic pick.

Lukaku has also played with Real Madrid shot stopper Thibaut Courtois, Simon Mignolet and Ben Foster.

Romelu Lukaku reveals what he learnt from Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Man Utd

Lukaku's biggest question mark comes with his defender - David Luiz - who he played alongside at the Blues.

The Brazilian centre back has been branded a "Playstation footballer" in the past for this haphazard approach for defended, but is useful with the ball at his feet.

In midfield there can be little arguments as Lukaku names Eden Hazard and Paul Pogba - who are arguably the best technical players in the Premier League.

Frenchman Pogba, or Agent P, is known to be a close friend of Lukaku and was key in bringing the front man to Old Trafford two summers ago.

Lukaku and Hazard have been teammates at both Stamford Bridge and at international level - with the pair reaching the World Cup semi-finals together in Russia.

Up front, Lukaku has decided to leave himself out and has plucked for Chelsea legend Didier Drogba - a player Lukaku moulds various aspects of his game on.

In naming Ivorian Drogba, Lukaku has snubbed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

But the 25-year-old also revealed he has learnt a great deal from the Swedish master.

Speaking to  United's official website , Lukaku recalled: “Everything I learned from Zlatan was great, from his stories that he told me when he was at Inter, AC Milan,  Barcelona  and even Ajax, to being on the field working with him, seeing how competitive he was.

“I remember one training session, because we were both strikers, we were never on the same team and, at one point, there was a 50/50 challenge. He went full-on against me!

“That is when I knew this guy wants to compete and this guy wants to fight for his spot. That is why he changed me. It was an eye-opener. The guy had to fight to be in the position he is in.

“So, I learned just to focus, work hard and enjoy it as well. Because he is a guy who you can have a lot fun with as well and having his personality in the dressing room was good.”
