Romelu Lukaku has already hinted at his next move amid talk of £105m Chelsea transfer

Romelu Lukaku is once again being linked with a return to Chelsea ahead of the summer transfer window.

Last month, The Telegraph, reported that the Blues were willing to spend big money to bring the Belgium international back to Stamford Bridge in what would be a stunning swoop.

However, the report also stated that the Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, not Lukaku, was the main target for Thomas Tuchel's side this summer.

But with the Bundesliga outfit insisting that the Norway international won't be sold, it would appear that Chelsea have turned their attentions back to the prolific Belgian striker.

Although, re-signing Lukaku will be an expensive one.

The Daily Mail claim Blues transfer guru Marina Granovskaia will have to smash the club's transfer record and splash out a whopping £105million to bring the striker back to England.

But would the 27-year-old even consider a return to the Premier League following spells with Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Everton and Manchester United?

Well, during a Q&A session on Twitter in April of last year, Lukaku was asked: "Will you ever play in the Premier League again & will it be back at Everton?"

To which he responded by saying: "I don't think so but I loved my time at Everton for real."

While he did not completely rule out the idea of returning to England, that response did cast doubt as to whether another spell in the Premier League is possible.

It was a decade ago when Lukaku was on Chelsea's books but he was never given a chance and joined the Toffees permanently in the summer of 2014 before moving on to Manchester United three years later.

Lukaku did not enjoy the greatest of spells at Old Trafford, but has established himself as one of Europe's best centre-forwards in two seasons at Inter Milan, netting 44 goals in just 68 Serie A appearances.

Interestingly, in the aforementioned Q&A session, Lukaku did hint at his next move after leaving Inter Milan.

Asked if he would consider a move to the United States to play in the MLS, he responded with a 'thinking' emoji.

Meanwhile, he replied: "For sure." when asked about following in Vincent Kompany's footsteps and returning to Anderlecht.
