Romelu Lukaku drops fresh Man Utd transfer hint amid Juventus link

Romelu Lukaku has cast fresh doubt on his Manchester United future after admitting that playing in Italy is a dream of his.

The Belgian forward has regularly been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this term, with Serie A champions Juventus often mooted as a potential destination.

And in an interview with Sky Italia this week, the 25-year-old has done little to quell those rumours which is sure to invoke the ire of United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Lukaku told Sky Italia: "Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream.

"I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if at the moment I am focused on the United."

Five issues Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must address at Man Utd this summer

During his time at Old Trafford, Lukaku has often failed to justify the £75m United paid to sign the forward from Everton in the summer of 2017.

The striker scored 27 goals of the Red Devils in his first season, but still struggled to win over a vast number of United fans owing to some lacklustre performances.

The 25-year-old has continued to be a bit hit-and-miss this term, netting 15 goals so far for his club.

Lukaku had to make do with a late appearance as a substitute for the Red Devils on Wednesday night as they lost 2-0 at home to Manchester City in the Premier League.

Paul Pogba 'tells Man Utd teammates he wants to leave' amid Real Madrid interest

The former Chelsea man has not netted for the Red Devils since nabbing a double in the famous 3-1 success at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on March 9.

Despite that, the Belgium international remains a forward that is linked with a host of top clubs across the continent.

And if Lukaku is to leave in the coming months, the Red Devils will hope to at least recoup what they spent on signing the attacker two years ago.
