Romelu Lukaku arrives for Manchester United training as club awaits Paulo Dybala transfer verdict

Romelu Lukaku reported for duty at Carrington on Thursday morning as Manchester United await Paulo Dybala's decision on a potential move to Old Trafford.

Lukaku has agreed to join Juventus but his move hinges on whether Dybala wants to move in the other direction.

The Argentine would prefer to stay in Turin and his situation should become clearer after he holds talks with Maurizio Sarri on Thursday.

Dybala is only just returning to his club after a holiday following his involvement in the Copa America in Brazil, a tournament in which Argentina recorded a third-placed finish.

United are still cautious about the prospect of signing Dybala and are continuing dialogue with Inter Milan on the off-chance the Nerazzurri meet their £80m asking price for Lukaku.

Inter had a derisory £54million bid for Lukaku rejected by United in July and are yet to prove they have the financial might to pull the deal off.

United also believe it is still possible Lukaku could end up staying.

Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and head of corporate development Matt Judge are holding dialogue with prospective targets' representatives from United's London offices in Mayfair as they approach the final week of the Premier League transfer window.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said after the friendly win over Kristiansund in Oslo the club could complete two more deals.

"I’m not here to talk about any rumours or speculation about other team’s players," he said when asked specifically about Dybala. "But of course we’re working on one or two cases, as I’ve said before.

"There’s another 10 days before we start the league and hopefully we can announce a fresh face or two."
