Roman Salanoa, Sammy Arnold and Jack Aungier among those on the move in flurry of deals between Connacht, Leinster and Munster

Connacht have confirmed their swoop for two players from both Leinster and Munster - while Munster have completed the signing of Roman Salanoa from Leinster.

Andy Friend has signed back row Conor Oliver and Ireland centre Sammy Arnold from Munster, with prop Jack Aungier and lock Oisin Dowling coming from Leinster.

“In Sammy, Conor, Oisin and Jack we have secured the signings of four very talented and promising young Irish rugby players," said Connacht boss Friend.

"They each have unique skillsets which will enhance our squad for next season and beyond, and will allow us to continue to grow as a program.

"We’re all looking forward to welcoming them to The Sportsground and integrating them into our playing squad.”

Arnold, 24, realised that already limited opportunities at Munster would have been further restricted by the province's signing of South African World Cup winner Damian De Allende.

Also 24, Oliver's progress was hampered by injury over the past two campaigns.

“I would like to thank Conor and Sammy for everything they have done for Munster Rugby," said Munster head coach Johann van Graan.

“As two young hugely talented players they both have very bright futures ahead and we wish them every success.”

But Leinster are unhappy to lose Aungier in particular, especially with another tighthead - Hawaiian 22-year-old Roman Sanaloa - now confimed as a new signing by Munster.

Aungier made his senior Leinster debut in November and had made five appearances for the Blues before lockdown.

Dowling, meanwhile, has made six Leinster appearances in the last two seasons, although he was still with the province's famed academy.

Salanoa, meanwhile, moved to Dublin in 2017 after representing the USA under-20s as an 18-year-old the previous year. Having joined Leinster's academy in 2018, Salanoa made three PRO14 appearances this term.

Hawaiian Salanoa represented the USA U20s as an 18-year-old in 2016 and made the move to Dublin in 2017.

“We are delighted to add to our tighthead options with the signing of Roman," admitted van Graan.

“He is an exciting prospect and we look forward to welcoming him to the province".
