Roman Kemp returns to work for first time after death of Capital FM friend

Roman Kemp has returned to work after he took time off work following the death of a close friend.

The Capital FM radio DJ, 27, has returned to work bright and early on Monday morning at 6am after he took a break following the terrible news.

It's almost been a week since the I'm A Celeb star took time off from the show from Wednesday last week.

Capital FM listeners have been missing Roman's cheerful voice on the radio show.

He was granted time off from the studio after learning of the tragic news about his pal.

The TV sensation shared a heartbreaking update about the death of a close pal that he had previously worked with.

In his latest post, he shared with his 1.2 million Instagram followers, he wrote: "Back on air with you tomorrow."

Roman and the rest of the Capital FM staff are said to have been in "complete shock" after hearing that one of the Capital FM team had suddenly died.

Last week Roman and his co-stars Sian Welby, 33, and Sonny Jay, 27, came off air midway through their segment after being informed of the tragic news.

The abrupt end of their presenting came shortly after an interview with Little Mix and didn't go missed by listeners.

Claims emerged the whole team were in shock following the devastating news.

The source told The Sun: “Roman and his colleagues are in complete shock, they can’t believe someone they were all close to is gone...

“They’ve all been left completely shattered by the upsetting news and are taking some time to grieve and digest the tragedy.

"It’s a tough time for them all right now.”

Roman, Sian and Sonny have been granted a weeks leave by CapitalFM bosses.

The son of Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp has been a huge success and the popular radio presenters welcome over 4 million listeners to weekday broadcasts.

The much-loved trio have been replaced by Rob Howard and Lauren Layfield for the rest of this week.
