Roman Kemp 'dating radio producer Codie Jones' after bonding over pal's death

Roman Kemp is said to have found love with his radio producer Codie Jones a year after splitting with his ex.

The I’m A Celebrity heart-throb, 28, was in a relationship with Swiss neuroscientist Anne-Sophie Flury for three years.

But the couple, who met on Tinder, split in July 2020 just months after moving in together during lockdown.

A month later Roman’s best pal, Joe Lyons tragically took his own life at the age of just 31.

Australian radio producer Codie was also close with Joe – and the rumoured new couple are thought to have bonded over their grief.

It is claimed the pair have been “quietly dating” for over a month.

Codie is thought to have been introduced to Roman’s famous parents, Spandau Ballet spa Martin and former Wham! backing singer Shirlie.

A source told The Sun Codie is already “fitting right in with the family”.

The insider said: “Both Roman and Codie worked with Joe and were very close to him, so his death hit them both extremely hard.

“They got closer and ended up falling for each other.

“They’ve been dating a while now – and it’s clear to everyone at work that they are head over heels for each other.”

The source added: “Codie met Roman’s parents Martin and Shirlie before they started dating, so they already loved her. She’s fitted right in with the family.”

The Mirror has reached out to Roman’s rep for comment.

Last month Roman paid tribute to his late pal Joe on what would have been his 32nd birthday.

The Capital Radio shared snaps on Instagram of him and Joe, who started as a work colleague before becoming Roman’s BFF.

Roman captioned the post: “I miss you beyond words pal. Love you mate.”

Joking about a pic of Joe in a Tottenham Hotspurs shirt, he added: “PS this is the only time I will post a Spurs shirt.”

He has since received praise for fronting BBC documentary Our Silent Emergency in which he spoke about the sudden death of his friend and the mental health crisis affecting young men.
