Roman Kemp and Anne-Sophie Flury split as romance fails to survive lockdown

Lockdown has led to the end of another once happy couple as Roman Kemp and his girlfriend Anne-Sophie Flury have split – just months after moving in together.

Romance in the time of coronavirus has proven to be too tough for the pair, who decided to call it a day after almost three years of being together.

The 27-year-old radio host and son of Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp, and his Swiss neuroscientist girlfriend shared a chihuahua called Luna – which Anne-Sophie is believed to have taken full custody of following the break-up.

Wasting no time with his newfound single status, however – and with lockdown easing – Roman is said to have signed up to exclusive dating app Raya, which is awash with B List celebrities looking for love.

A source told The Sun: “Roman loved Soph and things had been going really well for them.

“But being in lockdown is tough for any couple and they just weren’t able to make things work, which has been upsetting and tough for them both.”

The source continued: “His pals have encouraged him to move on and have got him on Raya, which is packed with attractive and creative women.

“He’s set up a profile with his best photos and has set the music on his page to the song Gold, by his dad’s band. He’s having fun with it.”

Roman had previously expressed a desire to settle down and start a family with Anne-Sophie – who he originally matched with on Tinder.

He said last December: “Every time I see a child, I get broody.”

However cracks had appeared between the couple early in to lockdown as they endured an argument over crisps.

Roman fumed on-air at the end of March when Anne-Sophie munched through his stockpile of crisps, raging: "I was fuming. I was like that's not fair. You're going to have to replace them babe."

Meanwhile, the star has been winning over more fans in recent weeks by reviewing TV shows alongside his chart-topping father on celeb special episodes of Gogglebox.
