Roman Abramovich may regret appointing Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea's new manager.
The German tactician had been a free agent for the shortest possible time following the rather surprising news that he had been sacked by Paris Saint-Germain - on Christmas Eve nonetheless.
And on Tuesday evening it was announced that Tuchel had succeeded Frank Lampard at Chelsea after the Blues legend was sacked less than 24 hours after a 3-1 win over Luton Town in the FA Cup.
And some Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to give the thumbs up to the decision.
However, comments from the German's past are highly unlikely to go down too well amongst the fanbase and could make Abramovich regret sacking Lampard.
It seems the former Borussia Dortmund boss has a soft spot for Tottenham.
Ahead of Dortmund's Europa League round of 16 clash against Spurs in the 2015/16 season, Tuchel spoke very highly of the north London outfit.
"As a little kid, in my garden, when I played [football] I was always [playing] as a team from the Bundesliga but there was one game when I played as Tottenham Hotspur because I liked the name so much," he said.
"I didn't have a picture and I didn't know they played in London so to play them in two legs was very special.
"What I didn't know as a kid is what I felt today and yesterday, that there are so many friendly people here.
"The coaching staff and the staff in the stadium and dressing room and benches and so on, was unbelievable.
"Such great support and atmosphere, so many friendly people, they made us feel welcome.
"Thanks a lot and best of luck to the club."
Now that Tuchel has replaced Lampard, it's almost certain that Spurs supporters will make sure they remind their bitter rivals of these particular comments.
