Roma legend Francesco Totti says 'exceptional' Mohamed Salah made right choice joining Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool

Roma legend Francesco Totti has described Mohamed Salah as "an exceptional person" and said the Egyptian deserves to be performing at "a top club like Liverpool".

Salah traded in Roma for Anfield in the summer of 2017 when he became a club-record signing at £36.9million and the 'Egyptian King' has become a world star since moving to Merseyside.

The former Giallorossi winger has netted 65 goals in just 96 appearances for Liverpool and has again been a driving force behind the Reds' success this term, netting 21 times for Jurgen Klopp 's double-chasing side.

This 21-goal haul came after a remarkable first season at Anfield where he netted 44 times and ended as the PFA and FWA Footballer of the Year .

The iconic Totti played with Salah for two years at the Stadio Olimpico and became close friends with the former Chelsea wideman off the pitch.
