(Reuters) - AS Roma forward Diego Perotti will be out of action for up to eight weeks after picking up a thigh muscle injury during training, the Serie A club said on Monday.
The 31-year-old will miss the Rome derby against Lazio on Sunday as well as games against Sassuolo, Bologna, Atalanta, Lecce and Cagliari.
The Argentina international missed AS Roma's first league game this season on Sunday, a 3-3 draw at home to his former club Genoa.
Perotti missed several games due to injuries last season, making only 13 league appearances.
