Rolex watches, Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags from criminals go up for auction

Rolex watches, Louis Vuitton handbags and diamond rings are among the items going up for auction this week, after being seized from criminals.

Wilsons Auctions is responsible for selling off the ill-gotten gains seized by police forces around the country including Merseyside, with this month's auction being held online on Thursday, April 29.

The luxury items going under the hammer include Rolex, Tag Heuer and Raymond Weil watches as well as designer handbags from the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Celine.

Bidders will also have the chance to get their hands on a range of high-end jewellery, from 18ct gold and diamond rings to rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

The auction will start at 11am on Thursday and will time out at 11am the following day, giving potential buyers 24 hours to bid online.

Wilsons Auctions’ Government Sales Coordinator, Michael Streight said, “This month’s Online Luxury Goods Auction is a great opportunity for bidders to invest in some beautiful pieces of jewellery including brand new items that will suit all tastes and styles.

"Popular choices including high-value watches and a selection of designer handbags will also be included, giving customers to bid on high-end, highly sought-after luxury goods, at an affordable price, from the convenience of their desktop or mobile device.

“We are proud to facilitate auctions on behalf of our government and law enforcement agency clients, which have seen significant growth across the group.
