A rogue swan has forced the closure of a lane on the M8 after appearing on the busy motorway during rush hour.
Traffic is moving slowly after the 'hazard' appeared at 8.30am on the M8 West Street off ramp.
Police have now arrived on the scene to escort the swan off the motorway.
Lane 2 on the West Street off ramp at junction 20 is now closed in a bid to lead the animal to safety.
Drivers are being warned of long tailbacks.
Traffic Scotland tweeted: "M8 Hazard Lane 2 (of 2) closed on the West Street off ramp J20.
"The swan now has a police escort."
