Rogue sprinkler blasts unsuspecting tennis players at Wimbledon

A mixed doubles match at Wimbledon was interrupted on Friday when a sprinkler head on court 15 went rogue and kept activating randomly, causing the players to scramble for cover.

According to The Guardian’s Geoff Jein, a ball boy fixed the issue by standing on top of the sprinkler.

On Court 15 at @Wimbledon the sprinklers keep going off sporadically – soaking players in their seats and one side of the court. A quick-thinking ball boy stuck his foot on the sprinkler and then couldn’t move! Also…It’s a really good game pic.twitter.com/6JxT2zaSeN
