Rogue Queen's Park swans cause havoc on Glasgow's south side

A group of rogue Queen's Park swans are causing havoc on Glasgow's south side.

The escapees have ventured on to Pollokshaws Road, possibly because the pond in the park has frozen over, causing problems for local traffic in the area.

Footage taken by locals shows the swans wandering across the busy road as cars brake and manoeuvre to avoid them.

One eyewitness has told Glasgow Live that police are now in attendance to try and help herd the swans back into the safety of the park away from the road.

It's not the first time Glasgow swans have caused bother in the city, with motorists delayed after the M8 was brought to a standstill by the appearance a rogue bird on the motorway in June last year.

We hope our feathered friends find their way back to the safe surroundings of the pond soon!
