Rogue poll on the loose?

Just to ram home this week's message of supremacy: Hillary Clinton wakes up to find she's got a huge lead in the latest ABC/Washington Post poll, which puts her on 53% in the Democratic primary, against Barack Obama's 20%. Mmm, something doesn't smell right here ... read on.

Well, compared with the previous poll, also taken in September, Obama has shipped a 14 percentage point gap into a 33 point gap - in the space of three weeks. Obama's average in the previous five ABC/WashPost polls was 27% - which has now plunged to 20%. Hillary's average was 42% - and has just leapt up by a quarter.

So one of two things has happened: either Obama's leaked support in the space of three weeks, or this is a rogue poll. Time will tell.
