Notts County stretched their unbeaten run in all competitions to eight games with a 2-0 victory at home to Solihull Moors at Meadow Lane.
Ian Burchnall’s men overcame former manager Neal Ardley’s well-drilled Moors team as the match ended 2-0, with goals from Kyle Wootton and late substitute Kairo Mitchell.
Here is how the Notts players rated.
Anthony Patterson: The usual secure performance from the on-loan keeper who continues to impress. 7
Dion Kelly-Evans: Another all-action display but could still improve his final delivery. 7
Richard Brindley: His usual assured self in defence and surged forward whenever possible 7
Alex Lacey: Returned to action after a lengthy spell out injured and largely untroubled defensively until he was substituted. 7
Adam Chicksen: Dealt well with Solihull’s attacks and linked up well with Joel Taylor. 7
Joel Taylor: Excellent again marauding down the left and looks to have made the wing-back position his own. 8
Frank Vincent: Back in the starting line-up after being on the bench last weekend and his energy in midfield proved vital in creating opportunities for Notts’ playmakers to shine. Missed a golden opportunity to make it 2-0. 7
Matt Palmer: Continues to show his class in the centre of midfield and consistently found the right pass. 8
Cal Roberts: Bright throughout and is showing signs of returning to his peak. 7
Ruben Rodrigues: Continued recent run of great form, a joy to watch. 8
Kyle Wootton: As usual, the target of some rough treatment from defenders but battled hard for the team and netted the first goal. 8
Ed Francis (for Vincent 90): Gave a hard-working display to see Notts home. 7
Kairo Mitchell (for Roberts 80): Scored with virtually his first touch. 7
Connell Rawlinson (for Lacey 57): Helped see the game out. 7
