Rodrigo Vilca scouted by Newcastle United but no agreement yet on playmaker

Newcastle United have taken a close look at Peruvian playmaker Rodrigo Vilca but are yet to come to an agreement with his club Deportivo Municipal.

A £250,000 proposal has been discussed with the player's agent and his club, but as yet Chronicle Live understands that there is no price finalised at this stage.

The talk in Peru is that Vilca, who has been called up by his country and worked alongside Toon legend Nobby Solano, could sign for Newcastle and then be loaned out to a European club.

But the 21-year-old's departure has not been confirmed yet and there still seems like there's talking to be done between all parties.

Vilca played 10 times in the Peruvian top-flight and scored three goals and made three assists.
