Rodri has admitted that Manchester City are getting "p***** off" with their VAR misfortune following their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.
The champions felt they should have had a penalty during the first half when Kyle Walker's low cross made contact with Fred's hand in the area.
VAR took a look at the incident but decided not to award a penalty, much to the disbelief of the City players who had also had an handball appeal against Victor Lindelof turned down.
In contrast, United's opening goal had come from a spot-kick after video assistant Michael Oliver rightly penalised Bernardo Silva for a foul on Marcus Rashford.
It is not the first time this season that City have been dissatisfied with VAR and Rodri admitted that it is becoming a source of frustration.
"We are p***ed off by it but there is no point (talking) for us," he said.
"We have to keep fighting and don't focus on these things.
"It is other people's jobs - we can't scream. Some decisions can change matches and VAR is there for getting decisions (right). It is not an excuse for us."
Pep Guardiola's side are now 14 points behind the Reds and hopes of defending their Premier League title are starting to fade as they prepare to travel to Dinamo Zagreb for their final Champions League group game on Tuesday.
"I would tell the supporters to stay behind us because we have other things this year, other cups" added Rodri.
"The Premier League is like this - physically and mentally we have to get the team back because we are a bit down now. Things are not going as we want and we have had lots of injuries as well.
"It's difficult but we have to fight until the end. It's been a tough beginning to the season. We have other cups, other goals which are interesting."
