CHICAGO _ Carlos Rodon struck out a season-high nine while extending his career-best win streak to five with his seventh consecutive quality start Friday in the White Sox's 7-2 victory against the Royals at U.S. Cellular Field.
Rodon allowed six hits, two walks and two runs (one earned) and was backed by Adam Eaton's two doubles and Melky Cabrera's two RBIs in front of 20,653 in attendance.
Tyler Saladino had three hits _ and has six in his last two games _ and Jose Abreu had two more for the White Sox, who won for the fifth time in their last seven games.
